Dr. Fadem, Sr. attended Washington University, in St. Louis, where he obtained his bachelors degree and attended the University of Missouri for Medical School. He continued his post-graduate training in Miami, Florida at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Fadem then entered private practice where he served as one of the premiere Neurologists in Central Florida for over 35 years.
In the past, Dr. Fadem worked closely with Orlando Regional Healthcare System and most notably was Chief of the Neurology Department for seven years and the Chief of the Department of Internal Medicine for five years. He retired from his practice for a short period in 2000 and then returned to the medical field in 2005 founding Central Florida Injury, in order to give patients better therapy alternatives.
Jerry Fadem, Jr., MD, completed his undergraduate degree at Furman University where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and chosen as Scholar-Athlete. After completing medical school at the University of Florida, Dr. Fadem returned to Orlando Regional Medical Center (now Orlando Health) to complete his residency, where he was chosen Most Outstanding Resident.
Dr. Fadem entered academic medicine at ORMC and was named Attending of the Year, Academic Chairman, and Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Florida. Dr. Fadem initially went into private practice before moving to Rutherfordton, North Carolina for four years to be the director of a hospitalist program. He returned to Orlando to work with his father as the Medical Director at Central Florida Injury.
April Smith-Gonzalez, completed her undergraduate degree at Florida Atlantic University. After completing medical school at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Smith-Gonzelez completed her residency at Florida Hospital in Orlando, FL.
Dr. Smith-Gonazlez joins the practice at Central Florida Injury to focus on injury rehabilitation through osteopathic manipulation, trigger point injections and joint injections.
